The University of Finance and Management in Białystok has existed since 1 October 1993. It is the oldest non-state university in the region and one of the oldest in Poland. In addition to the headquarters in Białystok, there is a branch in Ełk and a satellite campus department in Ostrów Mazowiecka. In the 2018 'Perspektywy' ranking, the Academy ranked first place in the region for non-state graduate universities. The Academy offers various educational structures in the fields of economic and social sciences. Courses available are: undergraduate studies (bachelor's) in the fields of management, finance and accounting, economics and graduate studies (master's) in management. The courses are enriched with lectures conducted in English and Russian. While fulfilling the expectations of Polish students, this also enables the University to accept students from abroad. Outside the Erasmus programme, the Academy is currently attended by students from Turkey, India, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. The Master of Business Administration and post-graduate courses at the Academy of Finance and Management offer almost 20 specialisations aimed at business managers, business owners, local government employees, specialists, graduates wishing to improve their qualifications and those wishing to start their own business.
