University of Bialystok (UwB) is the largest school in North – East Poland, which provides education in the social, humanistic, mathematical and natural fields of study. The University has 9 faculties, four of which have the scientific category A. The University educates around 11 thousands students. University of Bialystok emphasizes on commercialization of the science and business adjustment to market needs. UwB Expert Center has a goal to provide conditions for dissemination and commercialization of science, including research and developmental work results. There is also the Consultative Council, consisted of the representatives from the economy sector. The Council helps adjusting educational offers to job market needs. The University has modern infrastructure for conducting specialized research, also ordered by the corporate sector. The University Computing Center, which provides services for external subjects, also functions at the University Campus. At UwB the specialized laboratories like the National Center for Nanostructures for Magnetic Spinning Applications (SPINLAB), BioNanoTechno Sythesis and Analysis Center and Laboratory foe Applied Microbiology can be found as well.
